Cüte was founded by Ignacio Giri and Katrin Gülzau—two people who believe second-hand deserves better, and who have the skills to make it happen.
Ignacio Giri
Founder & design
Nacho is a visual designer and art director with 20+ years of experience building brands and digital products. Born in Argentina, he's lived in Los Angeles, Detroit, Puebla, Paris, and now São Paulo—each city shaping his perspective on how design can solve real problems.
His philosophy: "Design isn't only a career, it's a lifestyle. It informs everything I do."
Before Cüte, Nacho worked with Fortune 500 companies and startups including Beats by Dre, L'Oréal, Crate & Barrel, Elle, and the Los Angeles Times. He's been featured in Webby Awards, held an O-1 visa for extraordinary ability, and founded Builtwell, a design studio specializing in end-to-end brand experiences.
At Cüte, Nacho leads product design, brand identity, and the technical architecture—making sure every interaction feels human, joyful, and effortless.
Katrin Gülzau
Founder & finance
Katrin is a strategic finance leader with 15+ years of international experience managing complex operations across multiple continents. Originally from Germany, she's built her career at Faurecia (now Forvia), where she currently serves as Finance Director for South America, overseeing 8+ manufacturing sites and billions in revenue.
Her expertise spans P&L management, M&A support, financial planning, and leading transformation initiatives across global organizations. She's worked in Germany, Mexico, the United States, and now Brazil—giving her a unique perspective on how to build sustainable businesses that scale.
At Cüte, Katrin brings operational discipline and financial strategy—ensuring the company grows responsibly while delivering value to communities.
Why we built Cüte
We live in São Paulo. We saw how neighbors already trade in WhatsApp groups—chaotic, unstructured, but real. Trust was there. The tools weren't.
So we built Cüte: a marketplace that makes second-hand safe, joyful, and frictionless. Design meets finance. Creativity meets discipline. Global experience meets local reality.
